Red Sun Hortitech’s Guacamole Recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 ripe avocados
A pinch or two of salt and a dash of black pepper
A squeeze of lemon juice
½ a red onion finally diced
1 ripe tomato chopped (remove the seed and pulp)
A few drops of balsamic vinegar to taste
*If you are feeling a little zingy you can also finely chop half a chilly and add in
METHOD
- Cut the avocado and remove the flesh
- Mash the avo in a bowl with a fork, keep it a bit chunky for some texture
- Add the salt, lemon juice, onions, balsamic vinegar and tomato to the mix. Give everything a stir. The acid in the lemon juice will provide some balance to the richness of the avocado and will help stop the avos from turning brown.
- Remember everything is based on taste, so if you feel that you need more lemon juice, salt, balsamic vinegar, pepper etc add in as you go
